About Speaker
Doron Hemo is the Head of the Economic and Trade Mission in Munich, Germany. Under Doron’s supervision, he and his team supports numerous of Israeli companies helping them to prosper in Germany. In parallel Doron assists many major German companies discover business opportunities in Israel. The responsibilities of the mission Doron runs are to promote bilateral economic relations, attract and encourage foreign investments in Israel, foster future joint R&D collaborations with Israeli companies, encourage Israeli exports and to enhance commercial cooperation between Israel and Germany. Prior, in years 2016-2019 Doron served as the head of the American division at the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry headquarters, supervising 13 economic offices in the whole American continent. In years 2012-2016 Doron was posted in Taipei as the official economic representative to both Taiwan and the Philippines. In 2010 Doron joined the Ministry of Economy and Industry as a head of branch in the Asian and Pacific division – a part of the Foreign Trade Administration. Prior to joining the Ministry, Doron gained experience in various fields. Doron started his career in 2003 as an industrial engineer and project manager at the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). In 2007 he joined a successful IT start-up company and headed a business unit for strategic clients of professional industrial IT services. Following this position, in 2009, Doron worked as a CDM project manager carried by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, guiding projects through all stages of implementation, registration and verification. Doron holds a BSc degree in industrial engineering and management from the Ben-Gurion University. A MBA from Recanati business school and a M.A in public policy at the Tel Aviv University.
