Dieter Hoetzer is heading the Product Area Services, Map & Localization within the business unit Driver Experience at Bosch. In this position, Hoetzer is responsible for all connected service products as well as the growing business around crowd sourced mapping and localization for the company’s advanced driver assistance systems based on radar-, video- , ultra-sonic and GNSS technology. Before he took over the business and development responsibility of the Product Area Services, Map & Localization, he lead the system development and competence built-up of the company’s L2-L3 systems within the business units Driver Assistance and Automated Driving. Hoetzer joined Bosch in 1999 as project leader for the development of driving strategies for hybrid drive train systems. In 2003, Hoetzer became manager, working on future driver assistance functions. Since then he held several management positions in research, engineering and product management in the US and Germany with a growing international footprint.
