Having originally studied Computer Science, and then a Masters in Automotive Electronic Engineering, Scott worked at the Dearman Engine Company developing the first Liquid Nitrogen powered engine control system. He then moved to McLaren Applied Technologies where he developed the TAG-320B Single ECU for Formula 1 and leading the Edge Control team. After moving to Lotus, and starting as an Electrical Team lead, he has overseen the transformation of Lotus' capability in the Systems and Software domain with a transition from electrically simple vehicles to Software Defined Vehicles in the development of the Emira sports car. Progressing through the business in leadership roles in ADAS, Software Management and now Head of Systems and Software, he's also had a significant involvement in the development and launch of the Evija electric hyper car. The 4 motor, 2000hp Evija included a significant amount of internally developed software and systems including active aero, vehicle motion control, charging, thermal control and body electronics
